Imagine….

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today, I
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world, you
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
(written by John Lennon.)

I wonder what John Lennon was going through when he wrote this in 1971? Was he disillusioned with the world? He was certainly using his voice to inspire change, to encourage us all to think, act a little differently in our daily lives.  Its said that it roots lie in politics, though I feel there is a much stronger message that has made this song such an anthem for these times.
The words serve as a gentle reminder at this time that we can really choose our focus, our thoughts and how we live in each moment.
We might not be able to change the world but we can change ourselves.  One small act of kindness, humility, compassion and love on a moment to moment basis.

“Its easy to look around and see chaos, fear pain. Try looking out for the love, the good in your fellow human. Look at the positives on a daily basis. Its all about focus friends. The things you consume really do affect your viewpoint, your energy and your relationship with your fellow man. Trust us, we look and we see with love and sometimes, yes we smile. We only want to love and support you. All we are saying is give peace a chance. Love “The Team”
