Covid-19 Safety Statement
Spiritual Butterfly takes the health of its clients, staff and the public seriously. We aim to work in partnership with the medical profession, government bodies and necessary authorities.
Please find below details of measures we are taking to play our part to reduce the spread of Covid 19 and how you can work with me to continue to enjoy our spiritual offerings.
We continue to offer spiritual readings, spiritual awareness & development, energetic clearance and Reiki over distance, via zoom, skype, phone and email. These sessions are also available in person though where possible, we encourage clients to consider having distance sessions first. I have been working over distance for over 8 years and connect with people all over the world in various way. Energy travels. I am able to link with your spirit family and your own energy just as well as if you were in front of me. This also reduces harm to the environment and negates the need for travel. These sessions can also be recorded for you to enjoy later. This includes spiritual development and meditation as well as Reiki. Energetic home blessing and clearance is also available over distance.
In person sessions & Classes
At present we are offering in person sessions (spiritual readings & Reiki) at the Courtyard Center in Biggleswade and Clophill Spiritual Center near Shefford. We will also be hiring halls and space at other locations for spiritual awareness and Reiki attunement days.
We are working in partnership with the providers of these locations to safeguard all present and visiting.
In order to make this a safe and enjoyable space we will: –
· Ensure physical distancing is followed at all locations, including implementation of a one-way system where applicable.
· When giving personal Reiki treatments, I will be wearing personal protective equipment as per government guidelines and ensuring all surfaces, couches etc are sanitised effectively between clients.
For in person face to face readings, social distancing of 2 meters will apply. Only 1 household per session. The wearing of masks is suggested though at the client’s discretion.
· Full risk assessments will be completed for each venue and activity so that we are all aware of the risks and how we can enjoy our spiritual sessions safely.
· Myself and venue staff will be asking you to wash / sanitise your hands-on entering venues please.
· Wipes and hand sanitiser will be provided in all bathrooms and you will be required to wipe surfaces before and after using them please, including bathrooms and shared facilities.
· I already operate an online booking system which stores client contact information in a secure way in line with GDPR requirements. This fulfils all track and trace requirements. For full details of data storage, please refer to our GDPR page.
· All clients will be asked to sign a Covid declaration disclaimer please when entering a session.
· You are welcome to wear a mask during our sessions. For personal readings, with 2 or 3 of us in the room, we will be sitting socially distanced. If receiving a reading with family member, only those in the same household will be permitted to sit in pairs.
What You Need to do.
In line with Government guidelines, please do not attend your appointment if you feel unwell with any Covid 19 symptoms i.e. high temperature, cough, tight chest or breathlessness, loss of taste or smell. This also applies if you have been in direct contact with someone with symptoms or anyone who is sick or quarantined. This is the same as if you previously had a contagious illness. I will ask clients to sign a disclaimer confirming this.
If you attend one of these locations, I will be asking you to wash your hands-on entrance to the room at the start of our session. The venue will also have hand sanitiser for you to use.
Please minimise the risk of cross contamination by bringing as few belongings as possible to your appointment as possible.
When visiting the bathroom, you will be required to use the sanitiser wipes provided please and wipe the shared surfaces before and after use to minimise the risk of contamination to yourself and others.
If you fall into one of the 2 at risk categories for health reasons, please make me aware of this prior to our appointment or class. All Reiki clients will continue to complete health surveys. This has been amended to include Covid 19 higher risk groups.
If following an in-person appointment you become unwell and feel you may have the virus or test positive for Covid 19 you are required to notify myself, Dawn Russell (07973384406) immediately please. This allows me to go into self-isolation and notify everyone else I have contact with to help stop the spread of Covid 19. This also applies where we are in a group teaching session.
All bookings require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to change or amend. (Whether face to face or distance) please. For classes this is 72 hours. Please do ensure that adequate notice is given to allow me to transfer your booking fee. Where less than the required notice is given, booking fees will be void due to the requirements of venues hired for your session.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
Thank you for visiting my site. I am blessed to offer you my spiritual connection. These terms and conditions protect you the client and my work.
All bookings require a deposit at the time of booking please to enable me to plan my diary. I also hire space for my work so have associated costs. Deposits are normally paid on the booking system at the time of booking by paypal. If you do not have paypal, I also accept card payment on the phone or will accept bank transfer.

Party bookings and home blessings require a deposit at the time of booking, on agreement of a date. No bookings will be held without a deposit.
For face to face sessions I accept Cash, Card or paypal. Payment is required prior to or on completion of your session please.
My bookings are now all online, this allows me to schedule my diary and provides email and text appointment reminders. You will receive a booking email and confirmation by email. Please check your spam or junk if you do not see it. It is the clients responsibility to manage bookings and diary these please. You can do this by using the amend button on your booking confirmation and choosing an alternative day.
All appointments require a minimum of 24 hours notice of change or cancellation please. The full 24 hours notice allows me to reschedule your appointment and your deposit will remain valid. In the event of an emergency, please give me as much notice as possible.
If I do not receive any communication regarding a change or cancellation and arrive at the venue, no deposit will be refunded by myself as I travel and incur room hire costs. In the event of distance sessions, the same notice period applied please as I have to plan my day and another client may have benefited from the slot.
Naturally there maybe some circumstances ie emergencies where you maybe unable to attend an appointment. Please give me as much notice as possible and I will do my best to accommodate you. 2 hours notice is appreciated in these circumstances if possible please. In the event of needing to cancel your booking myself, I will give you as much notice as possible. This will be a minimum of 24 hours notice. In the event we are unable to re-book for any reason or cannot agree a suitable alternative date, of course any deposit is fully refundable.
Distance sessions require 24 hours notice to change of booking please. I will do my best to accommodate any changes. If we are unable to find a suitable alternative a full refund will of course be provided.
Workshops, Reiki Attunements and classes.
Classes and workshops require a minimum of 72 hours notice if you are unable to attend please. This allows me to advertise your space and someone else to benefit from the session. If you arrive at a class and I feel it is not appropriate for you to enter the class or group (based on ill health, emotional well being and safety of yourself or other group members), I may not be able to provide a refund. Classes incur preparation costs, for example printing costs for manuals, purchase of refreshments, venue hire and other items. If I have already made preparations for the class or event you are attending, I may not be able to refund your deposit. In the event of last minute cancellations beyond your control, please let me know and we can discuss whether it is possible to transfer your class booking to a future event or date. If you are unable to attend for any reason, please do still let me know so that I am aware you are not coming. This allows the rest of the class to start on-time. Thank you. It is currently a requirement that everyone attending an in person class or group completes a Covid lateral flow test a minimum of 24 hours prior to the event please. Thank you.
